In Part Two of The Abduction of Betty and Barney Hill, we compare and contrast story elements of the too-close encounter taken from what the couple remembered about the night of the abduction, Betty’s lucid dreams, and regression hypnotherapy. We also have the pleasure of interviewing researcher and author Kathleen Marden, Betty Hill’s niece, who was present for the contemporary testimony and witness to the physical evidence at the time. Kathleen has dedicated decades to meticulously investigating her aunt and uncle’s case and the UFO phenomenon in general. She has held various positions within the Mutual UFO Network from 1991 to 2023, such as Director of Field Investigator Training and Founder/Director of MUFON’s Experiencer Resource Team. Kathleen was awarded MUFON’s “Researcher of the Year” trophy in 2012. Join us for a fascinating conversation where we separate fact from fiction and the conscious from the subconscious regarding one of history’s most famous “Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind.”

Kathleen asked us to make the following corrections and notes to Part 1:
1. Betty's memory of grotesque entities was not in her dreams. Her dream entities had the appearance of cadets with large noses and her hypnotic recall had the appearance of this photo:

2. Betty and Barney were on US Highway 3 during their UFO encounter. They regained full consciousness near Ashland and began talking again near Northfield. Please examine this 1961 map.

3. The craft swooped down at approximately midnight about a mile south of Indian Head on Route 3. This is where the craft hovered beside the road, and then it moved across the road to the close encounter field. This is when Barney observed the entities who were "Somehow not human."
4. When they arrived home, Betty checked her watch and realized that it had stopped, so she walked inside her home and checked the time on her clock. It was 5:16 AM and she set her watch to the correct time. She then realized that her watch was broken.
Note: I am extraordinarily disappointed in Dr. Cogswell. He failed to learn the basic facts regarding the case. He was factually incorrect and presented a distorted account of what occurred.
